About Our Institution
P.S.R. Engineering College • Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu
P.S.R. Engineering College is an Autonomous Institution established in the year 1998 by P.S. Ramasamy Telugu Minority Educational and Charitable Trust, towering high in quality of academic excellence and developments. It strives hard to achieve excellence by revamping research, academic flexibility, publications in peer reviewed journals and modern laboratory facilities. The college received Education Excellence award for “Best Engineering College for Academic Infrastructure” in South Tamilnadu by Education post in 2013. The Institution achieved tenth among all the Autonomous Institution under Anna University in Examinations. National Board of Accreditation has accredited five UG programmes ECE, CSE, EEE, MECH and BIOTECH under Tier I Category & also accredited by NAAC with A+ grade. The institute offers academic programs with innovative curriculum, advanced research and social engagement through outreach activities. The institute has Nine UG programmes, Six PG programmes including MBA programme and Seven Ph.D. programmes.
Department of EEE
Electrical & Electronics Engineering
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year of 2001. The department is offering BE-EEE programme and ME-Power Electronics and Drives programme. The UG programme is accredited by NBA and presently reaccredited under Tier 1 from 2019 onwards. The department has well qualified, experienced and dedicated team of faculty members with specialization in various fields. The department houses state of art laboratories such as Renewable Energy, Power System, Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, Measurements and Control, Industrial Drives and Control and Research Laboratory with modern Infrastructure and high end equipment’s & recent software’s such as ETAB, MATLAB, PSIM, Xilinx and Lab VIEW. The department has organized several national level seminars, workshops, conferences and FDP for the benefit of the Faculty, Researchers, Students and Industries. The DST has sanctioned a research grant of ₹1.18 crore for the project titled “Modeling, Testing and Optimizing Battery Management System for Sodium Ion Battery Pack.”
